This pack has been produced by the Criminal Cases Review Commission in conjunction with EC Resources (PSHE, RSE and Citizenship specialists) and Tes. It is most suitably used as a Drop Down Day for KS3, but could easily be used for KS4 too. The unit of work follows the story of Lee, a young man who is convicted of murder. An Anti-bullying assembly which follows the story of Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley from Harry Potter) and how he was the target of bullying as he grew up and how he dealt with this. The assembly doesn’t just focus on the obvious reasons why bullying is wrong, but also some less obvious reasons which students might not have thought of before, to create more of an impact. The second half of the assembly focuses on respect - looking at what respect means in practice before ending with some helpful takeaway tips. The assembly will last around 15-20 minutes if clip is watched (3 mins) and suggested questions are asked too. Everything is editable.
